David Luckenbaugh

Dave has been working in clinical research in various capacities for the past 20 years. He started as a research psychologist interacting with and testing patients with depression and bipolar disorder. Through the course of this research, he became a research analyst running data analysis and statistics for an international network of scientists studying bipolar disorder. His role became more statistically oriented over time such that he was given the role of statistician 12 years ago. While at the National Institutes of Health, he initiated and taught classes in SPSS for more than a decade while analyzing data from clinical trials and associated studies.

Dave has a Master’s degree in General Psychology from James Madison University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Virginia Wesleyan College. He spent three years studying Cognitive Psychology at Temple University where he taught courses on research methods.
