Erin Manning joins the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Office of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI), Guidance Education and Marketing (GEM) Division. She has most recently work with Marriott International, where she has over 13 years of hospitality, creative development and marketing communications experience.
A military child, Erin grew up in Guam and Maine, and practically everywhere in between. Upon settling in Maryland, Erin attended Towson University where she studied Mass Communications and holds additional certifications in Marketing and Web Design and Development.
Erin joined Marriott International in 2007, and quickly found her niche in creative development: specifically in blending brand strategy and consumer insights to create authentic environments people physically interact with. Top achievements include managing the successful deployment of several corporate initiatives with global reach, including the repositioning of Fairfield Inn & Suites and supporting the launch of MOXY Hotels, the first new brand in the Marriott portfolio in over 30 years.
The hospitality industry thrives on creating welcoming spaces for everyone, and Erin cannot wait to further develop this skillset with the Technology, Marketing and Communications (TMC) Branch of EDI/GEM!
