Administrative Assistant

Lauren E. Dance joins the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) as the newest Administrative Management Technician (AMT) in the Guidance, Education, and Marketing Branch. As an AMT, Lauren is supporting administrative tasks related to processing Reasonable Accommodation requests, project management, as well as marketing and communications requests.

Lauren is a native of Washington DC and single mother of one very active (and super cute) 11-year-old son. Her previous experience is primarily in Administrative Assistant positions. Lauren worked in the patient appointments call center at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC for 12 years. During her career at Walter Reed, she served as a Team Lead for five years, managing up to 10 call center agents. Lauren also ran the Personal Identification Verification card office for the Commodities Futures Trading Commission where she became the subject matter expert supporting three regional offices. Lauren is excited for this new chapter and the opportunity to join another great team here at NIH.
