Linda started with NIH in March of 2021, as a Government Information Specialist with the Office of the Director, Executive Secretariat. She worked with the Records Management Team searching for and analyzing data to respond to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.

Prior to NIH, Linda worked with FOIA teams at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and with the Social Security Administration (SSA). She has a wealth of experience working in FOIA and privacy arenas. She began her federal career at SSA as a clerk typist, then moved to the SSA Office of the General Counsel's Office (OGC) of Disclosure Policy. Her work in OGC expanded her experience to include analyzing and processing FOIA requests, Privacy Act requests, backup LAN administrator, and component security officer. In addition, she participated in a variety of workgroups, provided support for contractual work, and assisted with developing standard operating procedures. As new trends emerged and evolved in technology, she began working with information security systems ensuring personally identifiable information continued to be protected in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. In this regard, she represented the agency on a national level, leading studies employing qualitative and quantitative assessment methods to evaluate the effectiveness of an agency's policies and procedures and measured levels of compliance.

In Linda's spare time she is an artist and finds it relaxing to create and design unique clothing styles.
