Shileta Gorham serves as an Administrative Assistant for EDI where she supports the team with reasonable accommodations. She was formerly an Independent Living Specialist, at the District of Columbia Center for Independent Living, Incorporated (DCCIL) where she was instrumental in the development of the organization's youth program and initiatives.
Ms. Gorham has over six years of progressive experience in advocating for individuals with disabilities in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. She has been involved with many community-based organizations such as Quality Trust, SchoolTalk, and ProjectSEARCH which support youth as well as the disability community (including seniors). Ms. Gorham currently serves as a member of the DC Statewide Independent Council (DC SILC).
Ms. Gorham is a native Washingtonian and received her Associates Degree in Business Administration. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts from Trinity Washington University.
