What gained you interest in the NIH? 

I take pride in working for an agency that works tirelessly to find cures for diseases such as cancer and diabetes that affects millions around the world.

What kind of work do you do at the NIH? 

I manage budgets totaling $200 million dollars for several offices within the Office of the Director.

What message would you like to send to young Hispanics who are considering going to college? 

A quality education is a gift and privilege that shouldn't be taken for granted. A college degree will provide you with opportunities to pursue your dreams. It serves as the most powerful weapon to change the world. While it's important to work hard and strive for excellence it's equally important to develop your character and deal with people in an ethical manner.
