What gained you interest in the NIH? 

The NIH mission and being able to contribute to an organization that is about helping people and giving them hope. Although I am not a scientist, I believe that the work that I do ultimate helps people live a better life.

What kind of work do you do at the NIH? 

I run a mentoring program and I am an Executive Leadership Coach helping individuals achieve their full potential. I am passionate about helping and supporting others in living at their highest and best, by developing the self-awareness that will allow them to make positive changes in their life to achieve success.

What message would you like to send to young Hispanics who are considering going to college? 

Figure out what you are passionate about and what gives you a sense of purpose. Focus on using your strengths and excelling in what you are good at. Set clear goals and find a mentor who’s is happy to help you achieve those goals. Pay it forward. Ask questions. Enjoy the ride!
