Durango, Mexico

What school did you attend? 

Escuela Superior de Comercio y Administración (ESCA), Mexico

What gained you interest in the NIH? 

Since I was 9 years old, I wanted to work in a hospital to help people. Today, I have the honor and privilege of working in this magnificent Research Center, the National Institutes of Health.

What kind of work do you do at the NIH? 

I am assisting in the administration area three laboratories within the Laboratory of Immune Systems Biology in the Department of Intramural Research, National Institutes of Allergy and Immune Diseases.

What message would you like to send to young Hispanics who are considering going to college? 

My advice to our new generation is simple. Visualize yourself in whatever you want to be. Always believe in what you want, have faith in God and yourself, and with these ingredients, YES YOU CAN! ¡SÍ SE PUEDE!
