2016 Pride Events

Celebrating Your Uniqueness Everyday

At the NIH, we know the true value in harnessing our employee’s diverse perspectives to drive scientific discovery, not just in the month of June, but 365 days a year. This month’s events are an example of the work and discourse that we employ throughout the year. Celebrating diversity with us place these events on your calendar and learn more about how we are fostering an inclusionary community every single day of the year!

PRIDE Month Program: Telling Our Stories

A frank discussion on HIV, sexual health, resiliency, and other issues impacting black gay, bisexual, and men who have sex with men.

NIH employees, both SGM and allies, take an opportunity to share their personal stories and experiences with you.

All month long, we'll be posting to Instagram to recognize the amazing work and achievements of incredible people (members of the SGM community and allies).

Don't take your eyes off our Twitter timeline (TL). We'll be live tweeting every event this month and posting neat facts about SGM news, life, and research.

Academics, scientists, and movement researchers explain how they're gathering data and using it for social good.

An in-person, 90-minute training on ways to support a colleague who is transitioning on the job.

Varying perspectives on the lives of transgender people and their journey through the healthcare and research communities.
