Commit to Progress: Resolutions and Equity Awareness

The Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) is always committed to promoting and educating on all things related to equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO).

EDI’s Resolution & Equity Division (R&E) is hosting a virtual month-long symposium filled with exciting events and powerful content. The purpose of this year’s campaign is to educate and motivate the NIH workforce to commit to the promotion of DEIA.

A Note From our Director

Greetings,

Our workplaces may have changed, but our rights as employees and managers are still the same. Among the thousands of our colleagues, there are different personalities, experiences, and challenges that we all might face during our tenure here at the NIH. In the Resolutions and Equity Division (R&E), we process complaints of discrimination. Our staff of highly trained EEO Counselors, Specialists, and Investigators are here to provide a neutral understanding of your Rights and Responsibilities throughout the complaint process. The R&E staff is dedicated and committed to timely responses and legal compliance to all applicants, employees, and former employees that report any allegations of employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, sex stereotyping, sexual orientation, or gender identity), national origin, age (40 or older), disability, and genetic information.

This month, gain essential knowledge of your rights and protections at work through a host of programs sponsored by EDI’s Resolutions and Equity Team.
