What kind of work do you do at the NIH?
As a Director of the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) Cytogenetic and Microscopy Core, I handle both administrative and scientific issues in the core to accomplish the mission of the Core: Provide NHGRI investigators with state-of-the-art molecular cytogenetic services and access, and assistance with fluorescence and confocal microscopy.
What message would you like to send to young Hispanics who are considering going to college?
If you have a dream, chase it. If you have an idea, develop it. If you want to be successful, study, focus, work hard and never give up.
