What kind of work do you do at the NIH?
My research interests focus on biochemistry applied to systems of the retina. Specifically, I am interested in protein structure and function relationships and their impact on drug development for fighting blindness.
What gained you interest in the NIH?
The outstanding reputation of the NIH’s postdoctoral training program and their numerous opportunities offered for biomedical research.
What message would you like to send to young Hispanics who are considering going to college?
Develop passion, dream bigger, maintain work-life (family) balance and conduct yourself with righteousness.
