Marco Zurita

Marco Zurita has been serving as a community liaison for the Partnership for Access to Clinical Trials (PACT) program for more than 15 years, working alongside NIAID researchers and clinicians in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. The PACT program enables NIAID to increase access to their clinical trials among the medically underrepresented in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area by building strong relationships with community clinics, hospitals, and support groups

Marco is a certified HIV/AIDS instructor and serves as a liaison to many local and national minority and HIV/AIDS outreach initiatives, including National Minority AIDS Council (NMAC), the Black AIDS Institute, National Latino AIDS Awareness Day (NLAAD), Hispanic Federation, and National Association of People with AIDS (NAPWA-US). Marco often speaks about, and has proactively engaged print and radio media outlets to speak about, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis C, and clinical trials. A native of Ecuador, Marco is fluent in both Spanish and English
