The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will celebrate the agency's diverse workforce and their cultural traditions in observance of National Hispanic Heritage Month, Sept. 15 – Oct. 15, 2019. Keynote Speaker Dr. Elena Rios, President & CEO, National Hispanic Medical Association (NHMA) will address the national theme "Hispanic Americans: A History of Serving Our Nation." Also invited is Dr. Eliseo J. Pérez-Stable, Director, National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) who will speak about "Latino Health in the U.S., and the NIMHD Research Agenda." As part of the program, participants will hear a series of short presentations from the Department's Hispanic Employee Resource Groups.
