Diversity and Inclusion Strategist

Danny Housier is a Presidential Management Fellow assigned to the National Cancer Institute’s Office of Workforce Planning and Development, and is currently doing a fellowship rotation with the NIH Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. He received an undergraduate degree in Sociology from the University of Virginia, then spent several years in the workforce before recently returning to UVA to complete a master's degree in Higher Education Administration. Danny has worked in the higher education and public service fields, with stints in university alumni relations, the fire service, and emergency management. As a member of UVA's alumni engagement team, he both organized and executed events of all sizes and scope in an effort to create and maintain connections for alumni, parents, and friends of the university. As a member of the UVA Emergency Management office, Danny was part of a team responsible for the planning and logistics related to large-scale and high-profile events within the Grounds of the University of Virginia.

Danny enjoys watching and playing soccer, keeping up with the latest in movies and television, and spending time with family and friends.
