EEO Investigator

Marina Alexander joined EDI as an EEO Investigator in April 2024. Marina previously worked for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) internal alternative dispute resolution program. During her time at the EEOC, Marina developed an internal guide to facilitate training of new program analysts.

Before working at the EEOC, Marina served as a Senior EEO Investigator at the U.S. Department of Defense with over 16 years of experience independently conducting and managing controversial and technically complex EEO investigations. Marina also served as a mediator for informal complaints of discrimination. She mentored junior investigators and collaborated with other investigators to revise policy guidance for investigative staff.

Marina earned her Master of Science degree in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from the Carter School for Peace and Resolution at George Mason University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies from Trinity University. She enjoys international travel, spending time with family and friends, and has a love of fiber (knitting, crocheting, and weaving) and furniture art.
