Delanee-Alexis Coley approaches all facets of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility with meticulous thought and corresponding solutions. As a “big picture” enthusiast, she is passionate about identifying trends and leveraging data-driven insights to bring meaningful and lasting change.

Delanee-Alexis has a bachelor’s of science degree in broadcast journalism through the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical (NC A&T) State University National Alumni Scholar program and a master’s of science degree in human capital management through the Columbia University Historically Black Colleges and Universities fellowship. At Columbia University and NC A&T State University, Delanee-Alexis was honored to be one of the few scholars selected as a representative in both of these competitive scholars programs.

Prior to joining the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Delanee-Alexis was an Equal Employment Opportunity Specialist and wore many hats at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Office of Equal Employment Opportunity.

Delanee-Alexis looks forward to utilizing her knowledge and experience in all that she does at NIH. Her training and certifications include the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Training Institute’s MD-715 Reporting and Barrier Analysis, the Society for Human Resource Management's Certified Professional, and the University of South Florida Muma College of Business “DEI in the Workplace.”

Delanee-Alexis is a leader and active volunteer for several community organizations and spends her free time discovering music, exploring new novels, or indulging in self-care. Her personal quote is “Never be passive in your pursuit” because she believes that every day is an opportunity to use our innate abilities to empower, inspire, and uplift our world.
