EEO Investigator

Yomba Yokwan joined EDI as an EEO investigator in October 2020. He was born and raised in Cameroon. After graduating from law school, he worked with a human rights organization on human rights and gender programs thereafter in 2007 he emigrated to the United States. While in the United States, Yomba studied nursing and provided care to people living with disabilities and organized them to advocate for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. A few years later, he attended the University of Baltimore School of Law where he graduated with an LLM in the Laws of the United States. After graduation, he worked with an immigration law firm in Silver Spring Maryland as a law clerk. In 2019, Yomba left for Michigan to work for Bethany Christian Services as a Refugee Community Outreach Coordinator through the Peace Corps Vista Program. Prior to joining NIH, Yomba had a stint with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services as a Health Insurance Specialist. He lives in Silver Spring, Maryland and enjoys watching soccer and listening to music during his spare time.​
