From the EDI Director: EDI 2019 Black History Month Message

Debra C. Chew Esq.

The National Institutes of Health is pleased to recognize February as Black History Month. The many accomplishments of African Americans who make a difference every day in their communities, occupations, and families, especially at the NIH, deserves recognition and celebration. Please use this month's observance as a reminder of how our Nation becomes stronger, more powerful and considerably more successful when it embraces a variety of cultures, beliefs, races and ethnicities.

Visit the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion’s Twitter and Instagram pages to find NIH African American Scientists who are making numerous contributions to science and medicine. For more information about Black History Month and other EDI 365 events, visit EDI’s Black Portfolio page. On behalf of the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, we thank you.

Sincerely yours,

Debra Chew, Esq.
EDI Director
